Remote Chester Step Test

We are able to carry out Chester Step Tests Remotely. These take about 30 minutes and should be booked separately to the OGUK/OEUK medical.

You will need:

A step of suitable height depending on age: under 40 years - 30cm, over 40 years 25 cm. For accuracy an exact height is required which can be modified by the use of a take off mat.
A tape measure to demonstrate the height
A digital pulse reader - pulse oximeter is ideal. A BP monitor is NOT suitable. Our experience of smartwatches is that they are often unreliable. If the readings are not considered reliable you will not receive a certificate.

The process is carried out using WhatsApp video. Bluetooth headphones/earbuds are helpful but not essential.

The process involves verification of identity, a short health questionnaire, and rythmical stepping defined by the doctor.

If the process cannot be completed because of a lack of equipment, we regret that we cannot make a refund.
