OGUK (Oil & Gas UK) has changed its company name to OEUK (Offshore Energies UK). This has led to minor changes that have caused some confusion among clients.
The “OGUK Medical Certificate” is now known as the “OEUK Medical Certificate” even though it remains based on on historical ‘OGUK’ guidelines that are referred to on the certificate. OEUK is carrying out an exercise to review their guidance but is not yet ready to publish them.
Until now each assessing doctor had a PIN number: established doctors’ PIN numbers were prefixed by “OGUK” with newer doctors being allocated “OEUK” numbers. OEUK has now announced that all doctors’ PIN numbers should be prefixed with OEUK but that those bearing an OGUK PIN number will still be considered valid. New certificates will be issued with an OEUK number.
For practical purposes, the terms OGUK and OEUK should be considered interchangeable in the medical context.
OGUK/OEUK medicals can be completed remotely in line with the latest OEUK standards.
